Me and food have quite the history: binging/restricting in school, over-indulging in relationships, losing all appetite through breakups, binging because of anxiety, nauseous because of anxiety, and using it as comfort to fill any gaps in my life.
The thing that truly grounds me and brings my perspective into clarity is the gap between the best version of myself and who I am now.
I don't want there to be a gap.
And when I realize that who I want to be on the inside doesn't reflect who I am on the outside, it creates this imbalance and disorder that I can only sustain for so long before I become someone I don't know or don't like.
On the flip side, I know the more I align my actions with my higher self: DO what she does, say YES to what she does, say NO to what she does, the more balanced and confident I feel.
